The Alu-Cab 270° awning is stronger, lighter and easier to handle than other awnings on the market.

It is so well designed that it is very quick to set up and easy to stow away. When unfolded, the awning covers an area of about 10 m². It covers the side and rear of a vehicle and protects from sun and rain.

Closed, it is 2.60 m long and weighs about 25 kg.

For experienced campers, an awning is often one of their first camping accessory purchases, because they know that quick shade in the sun and protection from rain is crucial when traveling.

No one wants a struggle with poles, pegs and guy ropes in sweltering midday heat or rain and thunderstorms.

That's why Alu-Cab's globally popular 270º shade awning is designed to open and set up in one piece. There are no extra steps or poles to set up; all you have to do is open the bag and the awning to swing a full 270º. It's so simple, you can do it on your own.

This wrap-around effect means you can enjoy 10 square feet of sun protection around the entire area of your vehicle, especially where it's needed - in the rear where the drawer system, refrigerator and your supplies are located.

The awning features four heavy-duty aluminum arms that span the 270º spread, making it resistant to inclement weather. In the event that weather conditions worsen, the center arm of the awning is equipped with a retractable drop bar that can be used to tighten the awning for added support. In addition, each of the four arms has an attachment strap for gusty conditions. In addition, there are also appropriate accessories for bad weather conditions, such as the Storm Kit.  

Of course, since the support legs are only optional, this also saves time for set-up and take-down especially in good weather- perfect for a quick lunch break along the trail!

Since the 270º Shadow awning is made of reflective ripstop material, the awning casts a much lower shade temperature.

EASY ASSEMBLY

Alu-Cab provides several mounting options for the awning. A variety of brackets are available, which are not included in the delivery:

The brackets are supplied for front and rear mounting and are made of stainless steel.

COATED AWNING FABRIC

The fabric is acrylic-strengthened and has a heat-reflective silver coating on one side (aluminum mesh). It has an additional water repellent coating on the top side of the material, which allows water to bead off. The awning fabric (315g/m²) has a water column of 600 mm and the basic fabric is made of 100% polyester, which is particularly elastic and additionally impregnated with an acrylic-based resin.

The construction of the fabric and the impregnation prevent fungal attack and thus also reduce the formation of mold. 

AWNING

Alu-Cab 270° awning has three articulated arms made of 1.6 mm thick hollow aluminum profile. The rectangular profile gives additional stability without adding weight. A support foot is included in the delivery.  

The hinges to which the articulated arms are attached are made of 5 mm thick stainless steel with nylon bearings. 

FRONT TENT

The awning can be expanded into a large awning with the optional side walls. The four side walls (each with a window) with mosquito netting on the door and the windows are attached to the awning by Velcro. The entrance or exit is parallel to the vehicle. Two additional tent poles at the corners ensure that the tent stays in shape.  

RAIN GUTTER

A rain gutter (gutter) is available to seal the area between the rear of the vehicle and the awning. This is especially recommended for vehicles with side-opening rear door. For installation, a keder rail must be attached to the vehicle. The gutter is then pulled into the keder rail on the awning and vehicle and then allows access to the vehicle protected from rain.
