The Eibach / Profender suspension lift kit for the Ford Ranger 2AB (from 2012) is the perfect choice for improving the off-road capabilities of the Ranger! The additional height improves fording depth, slope and ramp angles enormously. But not only the off-road capabilities are greatly improved with this suspension kit. Despite being raised, even the on-road handling characteristics are optimized! This is made possible by the use of the tried and tested adjustable Profender gas pressure dampers! The gas pressure in the damper ensures a more sensitive response, while comfort level 1 greatly reduces the bouncing of the unloaded pickup truck bed. Every pickup driver will appreciate this extra comfort! But the Profender shock absorbers also offer a further advantage with high payloads or when towing a trailer. By adjusting the damping force, it is possible to compensate for the high payload to give the Ranger stability in any situation! These features give the suspension clear advantages over conventional suspension lifts.

The individual suspension components are described in more detail below:

Coil springs

The high-quality suspension springs are made by Eibach. At the front, the standard coil springs are replaced by longer ones. The springs have a good coating to ensure a long service life. 

Spacer blocks

Instead of replacing the complete leaf spring packs at the rear, we rely on the tried-and-tested method of simply raising the rigid axle and use simple aluminum spacer blocks. These are simply installed between the axle and leaf spring together with the longer U-bolts. This raises the rear of the vehicle by the thickness of the spacer blocks. This type of lift is technically perfectly adequate and naturally also saves installation time. Stronger leaf springs should only be used if constant loads or superstructures such as living cabins over 300 kg are transported permanently. 

Shock absorber  

Adjustable gas shocks are the latest development from Profender. A rotary knob at the lower end of the shock absorber allows the damping force in the compression and rebound stages to be adjusted to the respective vehicle weight or terrain at lightning speed from the outside. The rotary knob has 4 different positions, whereby the second stage corresponds approximately to the damping force of the original shock absorber. In the last stage, the suspension becomes significantly firmer so that the weight of a heavy payload can also be compensated well. Comfort level 1, on the other hand, provides a somewhat more pleasant ride and a more sensitive response. 

Compared to your vehicle's original shock absorber, the adjustable Gas Shock is significantly larger and of a higher quality. With a 54 mm wide damper body and a 20 mm thick piston rod, it is designed for the toughest use. 

The front shock absorbers have a height-adjustable spring plate! The vehicle can be raised further at the front by adding the two aluminum spacer rings supplied. However, these spacer rings may not be used within the scope of the enclosed certificate! 

The rear shock absorbers are approx. 35 mm longer than original. This means that there is still sufficient suspension travel even if the vehicle is raised and the rear end can be more articulated!

The suspension comes with a TÜV certificate. This enables problem-free registration in the vehicle documents. 

The suspension can be installed by any specialist garage in compliance with the usual knowledge for changing springs and shock absorbers. After replacement, the track must be re-measured and adjusted if necessary.
